Mrs. Hunt’s studio is designed to help new and intermediate students set a foundation for learning music; this includes reading music, theory, sight-reading, aural training, and performance skills. Additional areas of focus are certainly an option as well depending on the student’s specific goals, such as reading chord sheets and composing. Each student is expected to practice 5-6 days a week, attend workshops, and participate in recitals.
Mrs. Hunt started piano lessons in second grade and voice lessons in fourth grade, and she started teaching lessons to her little sister a few years later. She minored in music in college and has worked at different music schools, including The Broadmoor Academy of Music, in addition to running her own studio. Her goal is to nurture her students’ interest in music while teaching the fundamentals that will cultivate progress. She also values instructing her students in learning how to perform in front of others.
